The Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) is an open standard for passing messages between applications or organizations. An AMQP library within Yombo was created to facilitate ease of implementing connections to remove servers. Yombo uses AMQP to communicate between the gateway and the servers, using encryption. This allows the gateway to download it's configurations, receive commands from your mobile device, or communicate with 3rd parties that you allow.
The AMQP library allows modules to open remote connections to other servers. For a detailed usage see the AMQPYombo library python documentation. This is a complex example as it handles configuration items and updates the local database within the gateway.
